Karen Slafter aka Kali1313 is a Tattoo artist and Reiki master and now the proud owner of Spellbound Studio in Austin, TX.
She has been blessed with 6 consecutive wins of the Austin Chronicle Best Tattoo Artist award for 2005-2010.
After studying art at UT Austin, she apprenticed tattoo with Steve Borrego at Native Images and has been tattooing for 20 years and counting at a few shops--including Little Kitty Scratches, Incredible Ink, Southside Tattoo, Resurrection Tattoo, and now Spellbound Studio in South Austin.
She specializes in transformational tattoo art for the body and mind--spiritual designs, abstract art, master work copies, mandalas, celtic and black work are some of the specialties and loves a challenge!
Karen adheres to the highest degree of sanitation and uses vegan inks for her clients and friends.
